About The School of Jewish Studies

About Us

Youth With A Mission’s School of Jewish Studies began in Richmond, Virgina. During these years, the school operated once in Brazil, Hawaii, and Ukraine. The school ran in Richmond, Virginia for the last time in 2007. For 10 years the school lay fallow. In 2017, we started a re-pioneering effort within Youth With A Mission’s University of the Nations. We are currently based in Tauranga, New Zealand, and we have since run two schools. We are looking forward to our third school that will run in September 2019.

About Tauranga

Tauranga Moana is the furthest city from Jerusalem with a population of more than 100,000 people. Our city of Tauranga is a place of new beginnings, a place of awakening, and a place of refuge. We are called in Aotearoa, New Zealand to be a bridge to the Middle East: training, sending and equipping the saints to reach out.

Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.” – Isaiah 62:11

Meet the school staff

We would love to introduce you to our School of Jewish Studies staff.

Annemarie, Isaac & Genesis

Annemarie, Isaac & Genesis

Canada, Australia, New Zealand

Annemarie has been in YWAM since she did her DTS in 2005 in Fiji. She then went onto Ukraine to do her School of Jewish Studies in 2006 and has been involved with reaching to the Middle East ever since. Annemarie’s primary calling is to the Jewish people, but in Turkey, God broke her heart for the Muslim world. Isaac’s is currently a full time builder, and his heart is also see the Muslim and Jewish people come to know who Jesus is.

We are currently the leaders of the School of Jewish Studies and are passionate about training people to reach out to the Middle East. We have each spent over a year in the Middle East on various outreaches. Genesis has been to the Middle East twice, and if you asked her today she would say the countries she wants to visit most are Turkey and Israel.

Meinrad and Janice

Meinrad was involved with YWAM Australia and New Zealand for 10+ years.
Originally from Germany but now a citizen of this beautiful country, New Zealand. He has a heart for Israel and its people, and longs to see people released to understand the significance of God choosing Israel. Also he has a heart for Church and the world to understand Israel.

Janice has a heart for people to be free, to be who God intended, and for them to be released into their kingdom purposes. As part of my journey with God, I did a Crossroads DTS in Matamata, NZ (1996). In March 2006, I was awarded a Bachelor of Counseling. I worked at a NGO for twelve years facilitating men’s and women’s groups and also working with individuals.
I am looking forward to meeting you at the School of Jewish Studies.

Isabel

Germany

Isabel has been serving internationally since 2005 in ministries both in and outside of YWAM. She is passionate about what’s on GOD’s heart and loves those who are broken and hungry for the truth.
She has many years of experience in reaching Israelis backpacking in India and recently has been living and working alongside them in Israel as well.
Her vision is for Israel to come into her calling to bring the Messiah to the lost and for the Jewish and Gentile believers to come together as one bride.
